The Port Hope Predators evened up the best-of-seven East
Division semi-finals with a 5-2 win over Kingston, on Sunday
afternoon.
The Predators led for the better part of the game and got a
big game from their captain Kevin Parker, who notched two goals,
15 seconds apart, in the second period, to give the Preds a lead
they wouldn't relinquish.
Other goal scorers were Jessie Chidwick, Jeremy McCarty and
Chad Dunlop (empty-netter). Assists went to Garrett Noiles
(2), Andrew Taylor, Brooks Mejia (2), Nik Temple and Dunlop.
Billy Stone stopped 34 of 36 shots for the win.
Game 3 goes Thursday, Feb. 28, at 7:30 p. m., in Kingston.
The series returns to Port Hope on Friday, at 7:30 p.m.
