Predators lose opening game

The Port
Hope Predators lost the first game of the East
Division semi-finals, 5-2 to the Kingston Voyageurs,
on Saturday afternoon.
The Preds tallied the only goal of the first period,
when Andrew Taylor netted a powerplay marker, from
Jessie Chidwick and Garrett Noiles. Kingston
responded with three in the second, while Port
Hope’s Chad Dunlop replied on a powerplay, from
Jeremy McCarty and Tyler Miller.
The Voyageurs, who finished second overall in the
regular season and had a bye in the first round,
potted two insurance markers in the third to take
game one 5-2.
Game two goes Sunday afternoon, at the Jack Burger
Sports Complex, in Port Hope. Puck drops at 2 p.m.
