The Port Hope Predators completed a pair of deals on
Thursday’s trade deadline day in the Ontario Provincial
Junior Hockey League.
The first move was to send defenceman Sean Streicher
to the Fort William North Stars of the Superior
International Junior Hockey League in return for future
considerations.
“Sean is an excellent individual and he’s in his last
few months of junior hockey eligibility,” said General
Manager Tim Clayden. “We discussed it, and in order for
Sean to secure his NCAA goals, he needs to play more. We
wish Sean all the best and hope to see him and his team
in this season’s Dudley Hewitt Cup.”
The team has also added forward Joel Christiano from
the Mississauga Chargers of the OPJHL’s West Division.
Christiano had 14 goals and 9 assists for 23 points in
34 games with the Chargers this season.
