The Peterborough Liftlock Stars dropped the opener of a
home-and-home series, 4-3, against the Port Hope Predators in
OJHL action at the Evinrude Centre last night.
The Predators scored four unanswered goals on David Harris'
tally in the first, followed by Jeremy McCarty, Jeff Lobman and
Nicholas Camilleri's goals in the second.
The Stars finally got on the board at 16:57 of the second on
Tim Cavanagh's goal from Jake O'Connor and Corey O'Brien.
The Stars added two in the third on Dylan Hogan's power-play
goal at 11:41 from Pier-Olivier Cotnoir and Tyler Talsma.
Cotnoir added a goal at 12:11 from O'Connor.
Stars' goalie Mathieu Cadieux made 16 saves on 20 shots in
33:38 minutes of play. He was replaced by Jared Coreau who made
10 saves in 25:52 minutes of action.
The teams meet again tomorrow in Port Hope at 7 p. m.
